Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993, and the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has been honored with several international and national distinctions. She has worked with a variety of organisations and governments all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to child victimized by the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
